PAY IT FORWARD

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me!
my choice. for you. this offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. what I create will be just for you.
3. it’ll be done this year. {translation: you may be waiting a little while}
4. you have no clue what it’s going to be … it may be cards, a poem, a bookmark, something yummy or a complete surprise to you (and me!) … who knows? not you, that’s for sure!
5. i reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
6. most importantly, you must offer the same deal on your blog - the first 5 people to comment on your blog (or if you do not have a blog, facebook) get something made by YOU! the first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me …

Don't worry if you live far away, I'm willing to send your surprise in the mail.

More Pictures

There are some of my favorites. We have a whole bunch of them. I don't know why it took me so long to get some pictures taken. I think we will be doing it more often from now on.

Mary gave herself a hair cut about a week before the pictures were scheduled. I took her to get it fixed, they did the best they could do. I just keep telling myself that it could have been worse. I'll just make sure that I hide all scissors in the house the next time I plan on family pictures.

Family Pictures

We got some family pictures taken for the first time ever. Here are some and I'll post some more later. My friend took them for us. She does a great job. Here is her website if any needs a photographer: www.delightful-depitions.com.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving weekend was filled with surprises this year. On Wednesday, I had an unexpected day off from work. My friends from "the good old days" came over for a last minute get-together. It's always refreshing to see friends and catch up.

Thanksgiving Day was nice. I went to my grandparent's house for dinner. All of my siblings were there. It's been about a year since we have all been together at the same time.
This is my sister Karen and her fiance Terry with Shannon (Stephen's girlfriend) in the background.

Friday was another unexpected day off from work. My girls and I stayed home all day and got caught up on some house work.

Saturday was exciting because Ben came home from working out of town for 5 weeks straight.

Sunday was fun. We had lunch at Ben's mom's house. Then, we took the girls the movie theatre to see Bolt. After that, we had dinner at my dad's house.

All in all a very nice few days off.

4-4-4 Tag, I'm It!

I've been tagged, (thanks Jesse)I'm supposed to post the 4th picture in my 4th file of pictures:
This was taken this last summer when the girls and I went to a baseball game. (I am trying really hard to think of the baseball team in Salt Lake and am drawing a blank, but I think it has a letter "z" in the name somewhere.) My dad and step-mom bought us tickets and we took some pictures outside the stadium waiting for them to come. This picture just happened to be the funny face one.

Now, I'm supposed to tag 4 people: Laura, Julie, Emily and Stacie.

Fall and Halloween

Halloween this year was fun. The girls were old enough to trick-or-treat without me holding their hands. We made it to all the houses in our neighborhood before Sara got tired.

Mary dressed up like a cheerleader and Sara was Snow White. I just used Halloween as an excuse to put make-up all over my face.
We don't have any trees in our yard, but the girls wanted to play in some leaves. So we got out our rake and went to the park. We made piles and jumped in. The girls had tons. I loved it because I didn't have to clean up the leaves when we were done.
The weather has been so nice. The girls have still been wearing flip-flops most of the time. And on Halloween they didn't even need jackets. I was all bundled up because I'm a crybaby when it comes to cold weather, but even I didn't complain once. It was awesome.

Pictures of summer

I finally downloaded some pictures from summer.

In August Ben's sister's boyfriend put together a "prom" for her because she never went in high school. It was pretty fun, this is Ben's brother Andrew and his date, my sister Michelle.
This is us at the prom, it was at Ben's parent's house.

These are some pictures of our Park City trip, the funnest part was visiting with my cousin and his family. They took us on a hike and made us dinner.

These are from Bear Lake. The girls loved the sand and the water.
