And the winner is............not me. But I did lose 1 lb., 3% of my body fat, and an inch around my waist. The winner lost 25 lbs. and 10% body fat, so I wasn't even close, but I had fun and picked up some healthy habits along the way.
Great job, Wendy! Picking up healthy habits that you can stick with is what matters. Plus, if you lost 3 inches, you lost way more than one pound of fat, but it came out to only one pound of actual body weight because you gained muscle mass. Muscle is a more compact tissue than fat, so you lost inches because you gained muscle and lost fat. Also, muscle burns more calories than fat does per day, so if you keep building muscle through exercise and eating healthy, you'll keep losing inches!
